The tubular garments of the Lamaholot living around Ile Mandiri feature patterning composed of fine white dots created by warp ikat technique.

Natural Dyeing
Lamaholot weavers use various plants to make natural dyes. The main dyes are indigo and morinda. Secondary dyes include turmeric, mangrove tree bark, and pea vine leaves.
